Our year-long celebration of 175 years "In the HEART of Bedford"  is well underway.  This is a significant milestone in the community and we invite you to attend and join in our celebration.  All events are FREE except for the Churchmen Concert where we ask a nominal fee.

On June 1st we will begin our commemoration of the June 6, 1944 D-Day Invasion of Europe at Normandy, France.  We are especially honored to present Mr. James W. Morrison, Historian and author of several books on D-Day and Bedford's priceless contribution to the war.  His presentation is titled World War II, D-Day, and Bedford County.  He will be talking about his book Bedford Goes to War.  This is surely an event not to be missed.  7 pm.  Admission Free.  A reception will follow to meet and talk to Mr. Morrison.

On June 6 the sanctuary will be open throughout the day and a Community-wide Ecumenical Union Service will be held; just as happened on D-Day.  7 pm.

On July 14 we will present Music in the Church with an Organ Recital.   7 pm.

On July 21 we will hold a Community Picnic at Falling Creek Park from 2 pm to 7 pm.

On August 3 and 4 the BPC Historical Drama "A Heart for God In the Heart of Bedford" will depict significant church events from the past.  7 pm.

On September 8 - 11 an Olde Time Tent Revival will be held outside the church.  Dr. Philip Parker will lead four nights; the theme will be New Life Spiritual Awakening.  Starting time will be at 7 pm.

Beginning September 15 The Whole Story commenses.  Join us on a Year-long journey of Spiritual Growth as we study the Bible in the chronological order that it happened.  This is for everyone; young and older, beginner  or experienced student.

On October 5 and 6 we will celebrate A Church Homecoming.  We look forward to welcoming back former members and Pastors who have meant so much to our heritage as a congregation.
