Loving God, Loving Others, Serving the World and Growing Disciples
Welcome to Bedford Presbyterian Church (BPC)
We hope our web page will help you learn more about us and our witness for Christ. We strive to recognize and nurture Christ in ourselves and each person that we encounter along the way. Our church is a thriving community of believers, and lovers of the word of God. BPC has a long tradition of outreach and service to its members and the community. We invite you to join us for service on Sunday to experience for yourself the fellowship of Christ.
The "Hiedelberg Catechism"
Coming this August, Rev. Salley will be speaking on the "Heidelberg Catechism" (HC). First published in 1562, the HC is a series of questions and answers designed to teach children and adults the basics of the Christian faith; including the Ten Commandments, the Greatest Command, the Lord's Prayer, and the Apostle's Creed. The surprising thing is that it is still easy to understand and with its personal style - all questions addressed to "you" - HC is still quite useful for doing the same thing today.
In hopes that you might be encouraged to continue reading on in the Catechism, CLICK on the image below and it will take you to a version of the HC that contains Scripture references to help you look up the verses related to the answers (24 printed pages).
