Loving God, Loving Others, Serving the World, and Growing Disciples

Welcome to Bedford Presbyterian Church (BPC)

We hope our web page will help you learn more about us and our witness for Christ. We strive to recognize and nurture Christ in ourselves and each person that we encounter along the way. Our church is a thriving community of believers, and lovers of the word of God. BPC has a long tradition of outreach and service to its members and the community. We invite you to join us for service on Sunday to experience for yourself the fellowship of Christ.

Something More

“Something More” our weeknight Bible study is returning every Tuesday evening, from 5:30-7:30 in our Salad-Supper-Book-Club format. Which means we will begin with pot-luck salad & dessert (I learned your need to balance healthy with decadent in previous summers). After which, we will commence our Bible time on full bellies.

And what will we talk about? I will again be preaching from the book of “Acts,” this Summer, but since we have previously studied that book fairly extensively together, I would like to open each evening by first answering any questions that last Sunday’s sermon may have brought to mind. Then I will climb back up on a familiar soapbox and lead us through 100 Bible Verses Everyone Should Know By Heart by Robert Morgan ($8-10 as an e-book, $10-13 paperback).

A Day Time Book Club

(Summer Discipleship Opportunity) lead by Joan Richwine

Do you ever wonder why Christians, even mature believers, still sin so oftern?  Why doesn't God set us free?  Despite our desire to be changed, too often we wonder if we are a disappointment to God because it seems the more we are growing in our faith, the more we are aware of how much sin is still a part of our lives.  This summer, let's explore some of these questions through a summer book study of EXTRAVAGENT GRACE.

Hear Last Week's Sermon

Pastor Salley gives inspiring and uplifting messages on how to bring God into all of our human relationships.  Listen to sermons on the Weekly Sermons (Audio) Page.  In addition to listening, you may read many sermons listed on the Weekly Sermons (Text) Page.
